Hawk Strategies proud to participate in and contribute to the successful 2022 PAAMA Conference
Hawk Strategies CEO Anthony Attanasio and Senior Associate Justin Simmons supported PAAMA’s very successful annual conference in Boalsburg, PA
Hawk Strategies CEO Anthony Attanasio and Senior Associate Justin Simmons took part in a very successful 2022 PAAMA annual conference. The conference once again had a tremendous number of presentations sharing insights and best practices for the pavement preservation industry as well as a significant contribution of time and information from a myriad of senior leaders for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).
This year, Hawk Strategies helped introduce a new element to the conference with the addition of speakers from Pennsylvania’s State Legislative Leadership. Thanks to Justin Simmons, who spent 10 years as the State House Representative in Pennsylvania’s 131st Legislative District, current State House Transportation Chairman Tim Hennessy (R-26), and State House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-171), both accepted invitations to participate in this year’s conference.
Chairman Hennessy spoke about current transportation policy and funding initiatives. He was pleased to be introduced to PAAMA and the pavement preservation industry.
As the keynote speaker of the dinner reception, Majority Leader Benninghoff gave a deep diving state of the state for the PAAMA members. He spoke about the current hot topics and legislation in Harrisburg as well as the State’s budget situation. He also gave his analysis of the current elections in Pennsylvania for both Governor and US Senate. The Majority Leader was well received by the membership, and both he and PAAMA look forward to working together to improve Pennsylvania’s roads.
Hawk Strategies would like to congratulate PAAMA’s staff and Board of Directors, especially our client Ken Messina from APS, for taking this year’s conference to the next level with a new location, vendor exhibits and almost double the normal attendance. Job well done!
